Job Summary

As a (Senior) System / Application Engineer, you will serve as a key digitalization partner for the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), operating within the Competence Center Application Lifecycle Management in Bonn. Your daily responsibilities include the design, implementation, and operation of ETL processes based on functional requirements, alongside developing data models for the Data Warehouse. You will be responsible for monitoring, alerting, and incident management of database processes and maintaining existing middleware on Linux applications. This role is unique as it operates within a DevSecOps organization focused on high-security IT infrastructure, contributing directly to Germany's national security. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training or university degree in Computer Science or IT Development.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in web application development and support following a university degree
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in web application development and support following vocational training
  • Extensive practical experience with ETL concepts and Data Warehouse applications
  • Profound knowledge of SQL and various database management systems
  • Proven expertise in interface technologies and relational database systems
  • Experience working with agile development processes
