Job Summary

As a Team Leader for Plant Project Management, you will provide both disciplinary and functional leadership to a team of project managers within the 'Large Steam and Syncon' organization. Your daily responsibilities involve fostering high performance, setting clear objectives, and supporting the continuous professional development of your staff through coaching and mentoring. Beyond leadership, you will personally manage selected complex projects, overseeing their planning, implementation, and control while serving as a central interface between engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics. This role is unique because it combines high-level people management with hands-on project execution in the energy sector, specifically focusing on steam turbines and generators. You will be instrumental in driving the energy transition by ensuring project standards, quality, and budgets are met within an international matrix organization. The position offers a high degree of impact on decarbonization efforts and fleet modernization.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Several years of leadership experience in disciplinary and functional management of teams, preferably in project management
  • Proven experience in leading complex projects, ideally involving electrical machines (generators/synchronous machines) or steam turbines
  • Demonstrated competency in people management, including coaching and personal development
  • Experience working within international matrix organizations and cross-functional collaboration
