Job Summary

This role offers a dynamic opportunity for a Biological Technical Assistant to join a microbiology laboratory focused on food and feed safety. On a day-to-day basis, you will perform quantitative and qualitative microbiological testing on food, feed, and water samples to detect pathogens and spoilage organisms. Your work will involve advanced laboratory techniques, including DNA extraction, real-time PCR for pathogen detection and GMO quantification, and ELISA for allergen analysis. Operating within a highly regulated environment, you will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the highest quality standards. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Chemical-Biological Technical Assistant (CBTA), or Biology Laboratory Technician.

Experience

  • Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or Biology Laboratory Technician
  • Professional experience in a laboratory environment
  • Experience in an accredited laboratory environment is preferred
  • Practical experience with microbiological testing and molecular biological methods
