Job Summary

As an Electrical Engineer specializing in HVDC and FACTS within the Strategic Asset Management department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems, focusing on converters and power electronics. In the context of the energy transition and the expansion of renewable energy, you will develop technical principles and target images for onshore and offshore assets. Your day-to-day involves supporting procurement during tenders, refining maintenance strategies, and conducting risk assessments using criticality and health-index tools. You will act as an expert consultant throughout the asset lifecycle—from planning and procurement to construction and operation—while representing the company's interests in national and international committees. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of DC technology and electrical energy systems in a stable, permanent role that bridges technical expertise with strategic decision-making.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical energy systems and DC networks/facilities
  • Experience in developing technical principles and asset strategies
  • Experience in strategic procurement support and tender processes
  • Experience in risk-based asset management and maintenance planning
  • Experience in manufacturer qualification, factory audits, and commissioning support
