Job Summary

As a Cyber Offensive Security Engineer at Schwarz Digits, you will play a critical role in securing the digital infrastructure of one of Europe's largest retail groups, including Lidl and Kaufland. Your daily activities involve planning and executing sophisticated Red Team and Purple Team operations to test defenses across cloud environments, networks, and physical locations. You will act as a simulated adversary, developing custom malware and tools to bypass security systems, performing social engineering, and even conducting physical security tests like lockpicking. Beyond technical exploitation, you will collaborate closely with the Blue Team to translate your findings into robust defensive improvements. This role offers a unique blend of creative freedom and corporate stability, allowing you to work with cutting-edge technologies in Cyber Security, Data & AI, and Cloud infrastructure while contributing to European digital sovereignty.

Required Skills

Education

Certifications in Offensive Security required (e.g., OSCP, OSEP, OSED/E, CRTO, CRTE, or equivalent).

Experience

  • Professional experience in Cyber Security with a focus on Offensive Security (Pentesting, Red Teaming, Ethical Hacking)
  • Previous work experience as a Penetration Tester, Red Team Operator, or Security Researcher
  • Experience in developing new attack techniques and bypassing standard security systems
  • Proven experience in scripting and programming for custom tool development
  • Experience with Advanced Threat Actors and their Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)
