Job Summary

As an IT Specialist within Schwarz Digits, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological foundation of digital sovereignty in Europe. Operating at the intersection of agility and security, your daily responsibilities involve managing and evolving central business and IT solutions for data inventory, classification, and transparency across the Schwarz Group (including Lidl and Kaufland). You will act as a consultant for various departments, coordinating metadata maintenance in data catalogs and ensuring best practices for data and interface documentation. This role is unique for its blend of internal infrastructure development and external market influence, offering significant creative freedom within the stable environment of a major retail group. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, working alongside international expert teams to standardize and optimize complex data landscapes through innovative metadata management and data lineage processes.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in (Business) Informatics, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification with high IT affinity.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the field of Data Management and Data Governance
  • Proven experience in analyzing complex system landscapes and technical interfaces
  • Practical experience in implementing and using Data Lineage processes within standard data catalogs
  • Professional experience in data modeling and database technologies
  • Experience in requirement engineering and specification at the interface of Business and IT
