Job Summary

As an Electrical Engineering Planning Engineer and Sub-Project Lead at DB Engineering & Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Germany's rail infrastructure. Based in Stuttgart, your day-to-day responsibilities involve the technical coordination of electrical energy system projects through various HOAI performance phases (1-7 and 9). You will manage budgets, timelines, and quality standards while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and external contractors. A significant part of the role includes creating planning documents, tender materials, and cost plans, as well as utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies. This position is particularly attractive due to its blend of technical design and project leadership, offering the chance to work on some of Europe's largest infrastructure projects. You will act as a key liaison between clients, authorities, and internal departments, ensuring that electrical systems are integrated seamlessly into the broader rail network while maintaining a focus on economic efficiency and risk management.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a comparable field (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma). Alternatively, qualification as a state-certified technician with equivalent professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience as a Planning Engineer in the field of Electrical Engineering is preferred
