Job Summary

This role is situated within the Artificial Intelligence and Imputation unit of the Federal Statistical Office (Statistisches Bundesamt), serving as a competence center for modern data processing. As an expert, you will conduct research and develop new methodologies for data validation and imputation to enhance the quality and efficiency of official statistics. Your day-to-day work involves developing software solutions using R, SAS, and CANCEIS, and transitioning these methodologies into production environments. Beyond technical development, you will provide consulting and training to specialized departments and represent the office at national and international conferences. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract status, the opportunity for civil service (Verbeamtung), and a significant IT allowance of up to €1,500 per month.
