Job Summary
This role involves the coordination and management of civil engineering projects for the State Construction Management of Braunschweig. As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing construction maintenance and specialized engineering tasks for federal properties, including the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and the Thünen-BVL-Campus. Your daily responsibilities include acting as the primary point of contact for users, providing technical consultations, and managing projects across all HOAI service phases (1-9). You will lead planning, tendering, and construction supervision while managing external engineering firms to ensure quality, budget, and schedule adherence. This position is particularly attractive for professionals seeking a stable, permanent public service role (TV-L E12/A12) with the opportunity to work on significant research and cultural infrastructure projects in Lower Saxony.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Civil Engineering, specializing in Civil/Road Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or a comparable field. For civil servants: Eligibility for Career Group 2, 1st Entry Level in Technical Services.
Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in project management or administrative processing of construction projects within the relevant engineering field.
- Proven experience in planning, tendering, and supervising construction works.
- Experience in public administration (state or municipal) is highly desirable.
- Professional experience in managing external engineering offices and controlling quality, costs, and deadlines.

Additional
- German language skills at C1 level required. For degrees obtained outside Germany, proof of equivalence via the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) must be provided. Permanent position available for both salaried employees and civil servants.
