Job Summary
As an IT Application Manager for the City of Darmstadt's IT Department, you will join an 18-member team dedicated to managing the lifecycle of various specialized administrative software and tools. Your day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the introduction, upgrade, and migration of specialist applications, as well as evaluating and implementing internal business processes. You will be responsible for planning and documenting updates, changes, and bugfixes while optimizing operational workflows. This role is highly collaborative, involving the support of various administrative offices during system failures and the continuous development of the software management system. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field of study; alternatively, equivalent professional qualifications and experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT application management and software lifecycles
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience if holding a comparable qualification to a degree
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience if qualifying through equivalent skills and experience
- Experience in IT service management or ITIL frameworks
- Experience in project work and project management standards

Additional
- Must be fit for computer-based work (screen compatibility). Location is Luisenplatz 5a, 64283 Darmstadt. Position is available as full-time (39 hours/week) or part-time.
