Job Summary

This hybrid role at Sartorius Stedim Biotech involves leading the planning, coordination, and implementation of innovative product development projects for downstream bioprocessing systems. As a technical sub-project lead, you will manage interdisciplinary international teams to develop single-use flow kits from concept through to prototyping and testing. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality project results, integrating new acquisitions, and maintaining strong networks with internal and external stakeholders like product management and application specialists. The position is unique for its focus on cutting-edge single-use technology within a DAX-listed life science leader, offering a mix of remote work and collaboration at the modern Göttingen campus. You will play a critical role in translating customer needs into functional process designs while adhering to strict pharmaceutical regulatory standards. The role is ideal for engineers who enjoy a 'hands-on' approach to problem-solving and possess a strong background in biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed degree in Engineering with a focus on Biotechnology, Process Engineering, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in downstream processing, preferably within the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Proven experience in product development with a deep understanding of the product lifecycle
  • Solid experience in project management using both classical and agile methodologies
  • Initial experience in leading international, interdisciplinary teams
  • Practical experience with single-use systems is highly advantageous
