Job Summary
As an Optoelectronic Systems Development Engineer, you will take a lead role in migrating and optimizing firmware for high-tech imaging systems. Your daily responsibilities include migrating existing video conversion firmware projects from AMD Vivado to the Lattice Diamond environment and conducting rigorous testing on Lattice FPGAs. You will be responsible for adapting firmware for new image sensors and implementing parallel image data conversion to MIPI CSI-2 standards. Beyond development, you will provide critical support during commissioning, perform troubleshooting, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. This role is ideal for a technical specialist who enjoys working at the intersection of hardware and software. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field of study; or completed vocational training with relevant additional qualifications.
Experience
- Extensive professional experience in firmware development for embedded systems
- Proven experience using Lattice Diamond for FPGA design and testing
- Experience with AMD Vivado and migrating projects between FPGA platforms
- Practical knowledge in implementing video converters on FPGAs
- Technical background in digital image transmission and sensor integration
