Job Summary

The German Diabetes Center (DDZ) in Düsseldorf is seeking a dedicated PhD Student to join the Institute for Clinical Diabetology. This role focuses on innovative drug development for organ fibrosis therapy within the FIBRO-NET project. You will be responsible for cultivating human hepatic stellate cells to establish standardized fibrosis models and testing potential anti-fibrotic substances using cell-based assays. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing gene and protein expression, applying 3D cell culture models, and conducting toxicity tests.
