Job Summary

This role is for a highly motivated Doctoral Researcher in Bioinformatics to join the Computational Diabetology research group at the German Diabetes Center (DDZ) in Düsseldorf. The core focus involves developing cutting-edge computational methods for analyzing large-scale multiomics data (genome, transcriptome, epigenome, etc.) at a pangenome level, specifically related to cardiovascular research in diabetes (CARDDIAB). The successful candidate must possess a relevant Master's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or Mathematics, coupled with expertise in Open Source systems, Linux, compute workflows, and specific programming languages including Python, C/C++, and Rust.
