Job Summary

This role is for a highly motivated and competent professional to join a dynamic Human Genetics team focused on diagnosing hereditary diseases. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing human genetic data, including Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Sanger, MLPA, qPCR, and Array-CGH data. Key responsibilities also include variant research and evaluation according to ACMG/ACGS classification, as well as preparing medical findings and learning about clinical features of various disease patterns. This position requires a strong background in human genetics, extensive experience with molecular genetic diagnostics, and proficiency in NGS technology. The role offers an opportunity to work with innovative diagnostic approaches in a modern environment with a supportive team, contributing to identifying disease-causing changes in patients.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Biology (with a focus on Genetics) or comparable, ideally with a subsequent doctorate (PhD)

Additional

  • On-site work required at the Center for Human Genetics in Tübingen (100% of working hours). Remote work is only possible for individual days after consultation and completion of the onboarding phase. Full-time position. Permanent contract desired after 2 years.
