Job Summary

Join Siemens Healthineers as a Gradient Coil and Shim Design Engineer, contributing to the future of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technology. In this role, you will be responsible for developing innovative gradient coils and shim systems, including driving the creation of digital twins and simulations for these components and their interaction with other MRI system elements. You will monitor technological trends, identify new innovation areas, and oversee components from concept to series production within a cross-functional, agile team. This position requires strong expertise in electrical engineering or physics, particularly in electrodynamics and electromagnetism, coupled with hands-on skills in measurement technology and a passion for applying advanced simulation techniques and potentially AI/ML. You will collaborate closely with various departments, ensuring projects meet deadlines, costs, and quality targets, all while contributing to cutting-edge medical technology.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, ideally with a focus on applied electrodynamics and electromagnetism. PhD is an alternative for experience.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in electrodynamics and electromagnetism, including high-voltage technology, simulation, and computer-aided modeling
  • Alternatively, a PhD combined with several years of professional experience in electrodynamics and electromagnetism
  • Professional experience in leading components from initial concept through development to series production
  • Experience in supporting components and implementing continuous improvement measures
