Job Summary

As a Senior Privacy Expert at BWI, the primary IT service provider for the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between complex legal regulations and technical implementation. Working within the CEO Data Privacy Office, you will act as a first-line consultant for various departments and projects, ensuring that IT services remain compliant with data protection and information law while maintaining operational efficiency. Your day-to-day will involve solving highly complex privacy issues, developing project-specific solutions for novel problems, and documenting technical implementations. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Legal Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Law, or a comparable qualification. Required certifications include at least one of the following: CISSP, CISA, CCSP, CISM, Certified Data Protection Officer, Data Protection Auditor, or ISACA privacy-related certificates.

Experience

  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in applying complex governance requirements and regulations.
  • Proven experience in a bridging function between legal requirements and technical implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in processing highly complex individual privacy issues and developing innovative solution variants.
  • Experience in project-based consulting and documentation of technical implementations.
