Job Summary

As a Senior Enterprise Architect for BWI, the primary digitalization partner of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Germany's national security infrastructure. Operating within the Military Enterprise Architecture & Portfolio Advisory unit, you will serve as a vital bridge between BWI and the military, translating complex requirements into sustainable IT architectures. Your day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing and developing enterprise-wide target images, creating reference architectures, and advising military leadership on strategic IT decisions. This position offers the unique opportunity to modernize one of Germany's largest and most complex IT landscapes. You will work in interdisciplinary teams, lead technical projects, and ensure that IT services remain stable, secure, and future-proof. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable STEM field; alternatively, an equivalent completed professional vocational training.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, or Service Portfolio Manager
  • Professional experience in requirement elicitation and management
  • Proven experience in communicating and collaborating with management levels
  • Experience in the public sector or German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) environment is preferred
  • Experience in leading technical teams within digitalization projects
