Job Summary

This role at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences involves the setup, operation, and continuous development of computer laboratories within the Department of Information and Communication. As a Laboratory Engineer, you will be responsible for managing software rollouts, license management, and providing technical support to both students and faculty. Your day-to-day tasks include administering department-specific networks (LAN/WLAN, VLANs), managing digital collaboration services, and overseeing the procurement of hardware and software. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Media Informatics, IT Systems Engineering, or a comparable qualification (such as relevant vocational training combined with several years of professional experience).

Experience

  • Professional experience in the administration of IT workstations and technical environments, preferably in a teaching or laboratory setting
  • Proven experience in providing and maintaining operating systems and application software
  • Experience with rollout and update processes
  • Basic experience in network technology and administration
  • Experience in operating web applications, services, or department-wide IT tools is desirable
  • Experience with IT monitoring, documentation, and operational processes is preferred
