Job Summary
As the Head of IT for the Consumer Association of North Rhine-Westphalia (Verbraucherzentrale NRW), you will lead the digital transformation of consumer protection. Based in Düsseldorf, you will manage the entire IT department, including teams for endpoint systems, infrastructure, software development, and support. Your daily responsibilities involve strategic planning, coaching staff using agile methodologies, and ensuring IT compliance and data security under GDPR. You will modernize the software landscape, analyze business processes using BPMN, and represent the organization at expert conferences. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field; qualification as an IT trainer (IT-Ausbilder).
Experience
- Professional experience in IT leadership and personnel management
- Proven track record in managing complex IT projects
- Practical experience with Azure Cloud and OpenStack environments
- Hands-on experience in Linux/Open Source environments
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language
- Experience in business process analysis and modeling
