Job Summary

This role within the Ministry for Energy Transition, Climate Protection, Environment and Nature (MEKUN) in Schleswig-Holstein focuses on bridging the gap between nature conservation and digital infrastructure. As the primary IT Coordinator for the department, you will manage IT budgeting, technical databases, and GIS applications while ensuring compliance with the EU INSPIRE Directive. Beyond technical coordination, you will be responsible for the professional assessment of infrastructure projects, conducting environmental impact assessments (EIA), and implementing landscape planning strategies. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Geo-informatics, Geosciences, Landscape Planning, Geography, Environmental Geography, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in nature conservation, environmental protection, or a comparable field
  • Practical experience using specialized environmental databases and GIS software
  • Experience in creating technical concepts and steering IT-related requirements
  • Experience in administrative procedures or environmental law is preferred
