Job Summary

As a specialist in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and longevity of high-stress components in power plants and service workshops worldwide. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve performing conventional and advanced NDT inspections (UT, ET, MT, PT, VT) on-site at power plants or in the Mülheim facility. You will be responsible for coordinating internal and external NDT personnel during turbine overhauls, documenting findings, and providing technical recommendations to customers. This role is unique for its high level of international travel and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge mechanized mobile testing systems. You will bridge the gap between field execution and engineering by initiating technological improvements based on your field experience. This position offers a dynamic environment within Siemens Energy's Gas Services division, focusing on the global energy transition and decarbonization.

Required Skills

Education

Technical vocational training in Electrical Engineering or Metalworking with NDT certifications, or a university degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in non-destructive testing methods (MT/PT/UT/ET)
  • Extensive experience in power plant or industrial plant service environments
  • Proven experience with automated testing systems and advanced techniques like Phased Array and ET Array
  • Experience in coordinating and managing internal and external personnel on construction sites
