Job Summary

As the Head of Turbine Heat Transfer, you will lead and inspire a dedicated team of approximately 15 design and analysis engineers based in Germany. Your primary focus is driving team performance, ensuring high-quality on-time delivery, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will serve as a critical link in global operations, working closely with US-based management to align technical strategies, design philosophies, and methodologies. Day-to-day, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in manufacturing, procurement, and program management to deliver high-impact turbine solutions. This role is unique for its influence on sustainable energy systems and the opportunity to develop a specialized engineering workforce through multi-skilling and proactive mentorship. You will be pivotal in optimizing thermal efficiency for blades and vanes while driving continuous improvement initiatives to refine tools and processes within the Gas Services division.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in engineering
  • Proven leadership experience in a technical or engineering environment
  • Professional experience in gas turbine design and heat transfer analysis
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and global technical alignment
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic execution and team performance management
