Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated specialist within the Nature Conservation Office, focusing on the preservation of natural habitats and the regulation of environmental impacts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the protection of biotopes, including verifying existing maps, maintaining habitat inventories, and assessing areas with specific FFH habitat types. A key part of the job involves identifying nature conservation interventions, planning and allocating the planting of replacement trees along district roads, and developing landscape maintenance plans for road construction projects. This position requires a strong background in biology or related fields, excellent botanical knowledge, and effective communication skills. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma/FH or Bachelor) in Biology, Landscape Planning, Landscape Management, or Nature Conservation

Experience

  • Professional experience in ensuring biotope protection according to § 30 BNatSchG
  • Experience in controlling old mappings in the field and checking suspicious areas
  • Experience in providing information on biotopes and maintaining directories
  • Experience in checking survey sheets and examining areas with FFH habitat types
  • Experience in determining nature conservation interventions and planning/awarding replacement tree plantings
  • Experience in creating landscape maintenance plans for road construction projects
