Job Summary
As a Lead Developer, you will be responsible for the conceptualization, development, and operation of high-performance Java-based backend services and APIs. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring system stability and scalability by implementing modern architecture patterns such as event-driven designs and cloud-native principles. Your daily activities will include maintaining CI/CD pipelines, performing code reviews, and optimizing database queries to ensure efficient resource utilization. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to work within an agile team to mentor less experienced colleagues and drive architectural decisions. What makes this position unique is the focus on 'Observability' using cutting-edge tools like OpenTelemetry and the opportunity to work with diverse cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes and Serverless platforms. Required Skills
Education
Degree in (Business) Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification; alternatively, a technical vocational training with several years of relevant backend development experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in backend development and designing complex system landscapes
- Extensive expertise in Java development using modern frameworks like Spring Boot or Quarkus
- Proven experience with relational and multimodal database modeling and performance optimization
- Demonstrated experience in implementing CI/CD processes and observability concepts
- Practical experience with message brokers and asynchronous communication patterns
- Professional experience working with cloud-native architectures and container technologies
