Job Summary

This high-level leadership role involves acting as the permanent representative for the Head of the ICT Department within the Bremen Police. You will be responsible for leading the department in coordination with the department head, ensuring the optimal processing of all information and communication technology matters for a major public safety organization. Your day-to-day will involve managing IT strategy, overseeing IT process management, and controlling complex IT projects. The position is unique as it offers a crisis-secure career within the civil service (TV-L E14 / A14), supporting over 3,000 employees who ensure the safety of Bremen's citizens. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Computer Science or interdisciplinary sciences (e.g., Business Informatics, Geoinformatics, Media Informatics). Alternatively, qualification for the higher technical administrative service (Laufbahngruppe 2, 2. Einstiegsamt).

Experience

  • Several years of experience in personnel management, development, and organization
  • Extensive professional experience in information technology (minimum 5 years if holding a Master's degree in a non-IT field)
  • Proven track record in steering complex IT projects
  • Deep knowledge of IT architecture, infrastructure, and digitalization matters
  • Experience in IT strategy and process management
