Job Summary
As an Electrical Design Engineer at Bauermeister, you will join a specialized team of four in Norderstedt to design and standardize switchgear for world-leading grinding and milling systems. Your daily responsibilities include developing circuit diagrams and P&IDs using E-Plan, selecting electrical components in compliance with international standards like ATEX and the Machinery Directive, and coordinating with global departments in sales and service. You will play a pivotal role in translating customer specifications into technical reality, performing software function tests, and supporting commissioning both locally and remotely. This position offers a unique blend of technical design and project coordination within a globally active group, featuring a family-friendly 35-hour work week and the opportunity to work on complex industrial machinery used in the food, mineral, and chemical industries.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering or qualification as a State-Certified Electrical Technician.
Experience
- 2+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in electrical design using E-Plan or similar CAE systems
- Practical knowledge of machinery directives, IEC standards, and safety concepts
- Experience in switchgear project planning based on customer specifications
- Background in commissioning, parameterization, and software functional testing
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%). Knowledge of ATEX guidelines and UL requirements is preferred. Position is based in Norderstedt, Germany.
