Job Summary
As an Electronics Technician for Building Management Systems (BMS) at the University Hospital Erlangen, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of automated systems vital for patient care. Your daily responsibilities include troubleshooting active and passive BMS components, performing preventive maintenance on DDC substations, and overseeing the expansion of existing technical networks. You will manage system couplings using protocols like Modbus and BACnet while supervising external service providers and procurement for spare parts. This role is highly dynamic, involving both hands-on hardware maintenance and software-based system management. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician (Elektroniker) specializing in Building and Infrastructure Systems, MSR Technology, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience as an Electronics Technician, preferably in building and infrastructure systems or MSR technology
- Experience in network technology, building automation, and fault message management
- Experience with security technology including video systems and access control is preferred
- Practical experience in the maintenance and functionality of technical building equipment in a hospital or similar environment
- Experience in coordinating and monitoring external service providers

Additional
- Willingness to participate in on-call shifts (Rufbereitschaft) is required. Must demonstrate structured work habits and strong communication skills for customer interaction.
