Job Summary

This Postdoctoral position within the Autonomous Systems Lab at the University of Tübingen offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of academia and industry. As a researcher in Dr. Shahram Eivazi's group, you will focus on Autonomous Design Systems and Embodied Intelligence. Day-to-day, you will leverage generative models, such as diffusion models and transformer-based architectures, to construct high-dimensional design spaces. You will integrate these models with Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) to optimize morphology and control for real-world physical interactions. The role is based at both the University of Tübingen and the Festo Lab, providing access to a premier AI research hub including the Max Planck Institute and Cyber Valley. This position is ideal for a candidate looking to apply advanced machine learning theories to adaptive, physical systems while collaborating with leading experts in the field of artificial intelligence.
