Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the DFG-funded Research Training Group (GRK 2573) at the University of Marburg, focusing on the inflammatory tumor secretome. As a doctoral researcher, you will investigate the functional role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) within the ovarian cancer tumor microenvironment. Your daily work will involve advancing mass spectrometry methods for EV proteomics, performing bioinformatic analysis of -OMICs data, and applying state-of-the-art techniques to characterize the secretome of complex body fluids. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of basic and clinical scientists, receiving supervision from experts in tumor immunology and translational proteomics. The position is unique for its structured qualification program, integration into a prestigious international research consortium, and the provision of a 'Landesticket' for free public transport across Hessen. This is a 65% part-time position limited to three years, specifically designed for candidates aiming to complete a doctorate.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree, Diploma, or equivalent in a relevant natural science discipline.

Experience
