Job Summary

This part-time (50%) research position at the University of Marburg offers a dedicated path toward a doctoral degree within the Department of Chemistry. As a PhD Candidate, you will join Professor Dr. Ulrich Tallarek's research group to conduct advanced scientific services in both research and teaching. Your primary focus will involve investigating retention and selectivity in liquid chromatography using molecular dynamics simulations. Specifically, you will characterize analyte distribution and dynamics in hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC) and compare these findings with reversed-phase chromatography. The role is ideal for researchers interested in interfacial phenomena, offering access to high-performance computing resources and professional development through the Marburg Research Academy (MARA). You will be responsible for independently conducting simulations and developing evaluation programs, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to high-level analytical chemistry research while completing your dissertation.
