Job Summary

This permanent part-time position (75%) at the University of Marburg's Department of Medicine offers an exciting opportunity to join the Section of Neuroimmunology. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be integral to cutting-edge neurological research, performing daily tasks such as cell culture cultivation, protein analysis, and flow cytometry (FACS). You will be responsible for conducting functional assays, ELISA, Western Blotting, and cytokine measurements while ensuring meticulous documentation according to quality standards. Beyond bench work, you will manage laboratory organization, including ordering and material management. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close interaction with doctoral students, researchers, and medical doctors. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant (BTA, MTA), Biology Laboratory Technician, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant (BTA, MTA), Biology Laboratory Technician, or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of practical experience in cell culture, protein expression, Western Blot, and ELISA
  • Practical experience in flow cytometry (FACS) and cytokine assays is preferred
  • Experience in industrial settings or cerebrospinal fluid diagnostics is an advantage
  • Professional experience in scientific research environments and laboratory organization
