Job Summary
This role within the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) focuses on the cross-sector protection of Critical Infrastructures (KRITIS) in Germany. As a Policy Advisor, you will be responsible for the conceptual development of processes related to KRITIS protection, creating technical recommendations and security standards (B3S), and providing strategic guidance on legislative projects. You will represent the BSI in various committees and workshops, ensuring that information security standards are maintained and evolved. Additionally, you will contribute to incident management and the BSI situation center. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy strategic work and structured process management. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or University Diploma in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, IT Security, Physics, Administrative/Business Informatics, IT Management, or a related field with an IT focus.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT security for critical infrastructures or comparable sectors is highly desirable
- Experience in the conceptual development and advancement of organizational tasks and processes
- Proven track record in strategic work and structured process management
- Experience in representing organizational positions in committees, workshops, or professional groups
- Experience in drafting technical concepts, security standards, or legislative commentary

- Must be willing to undergo an extended security clearance according to § 9 SÜG. Location is Bonn, Germany. Occasional business travel required. Candidates with foreign degrees must provide a Statement of Comparability from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB).
