Job Summary

As an Electrical Engineer specializing in contract design for onshore grid operations, you will be responsible for developing strategically important and technically sound contract concepts. Your primary focus is to ensure the legally secure, efficient, and future-proof operation of grid assets. You will act as the technical point of contact, bridging the gap between technical requirements and regulatory standards while collaborating closely with internal departments, grid customers, and external partners. Your day-to-day involves designing maintenance and operational management contracts, negotiating agreements for asset modifications or additions, and managing cost planning and billing for contractually agreed operating costs. This role is unique because it combines high-level engineering expertise with strategic contract management, offering a chance to shape the sustainable infrastructure of a major grid operator. You will also drive efficiency by implementing framework agreements and optimizing existing contract management processes.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Energy Economics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in contract design and management within a technical or utility context
  • Experience in the operational management of grid assets is highly preferred
  • Proven track record in negotiating technical contracts for asset modifications or maintenance
  • Experience in process optimization and the implementation of framework agreements
  • Practical knowledge of legal aspects related to engineering or utility operations is an advantage
