Job Summary

As a Scientist for Laser Systems within the Design Evaluation and Prototyping department, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for sensors used in diabetes care. Your daily responsibilities involve leading the selection and implementation of modern laser systems, transitioning projects from initial feasibility studies through to mass production. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert and Technical Project Lead, conducting statistical evaluations for process improvement and overseeing the procurement of pilot plants. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to serve as a vital interface in a dynamic environment to ensure innovative patient care solutions. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering; a PhD (Doctorate) is preferred.

Experience

  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience following degree completion
  • Extensive multi-year experience in laser processing of plastic substrates
  • Proven experience in scale-up strategies and transferring processes from pilot lines to production environments
  • Professional experience in plant qualification and process validation
  • Leadership experience as a technical project lead or subject matter expert
