Job Summary

As a Project Engineer at Siemens Mobility, you will be instrumental in driving the efficient planning and energy-optimized operation of modern traction power supply systems. Your primary focus will be the application of the EN 50641-certified simulation software, Sitras Sidytrac. On a day-to-day basis, you will support international rail operators and consultants through the entire project lifecycle—from initial requirements analysis and configuration to commissioning and final handover. You will act as a technical bridge, translating complex customer requirements into viable solution concepts and coordinating project milestones. This role is unique for its blend of technical simulation work and strategic customer engagement, offering the chance to contribute to sustainable mobility and the global energy transition. You will also identify upselling opportunities and collaborate with Product Management to develop tailored technical solutions, making this an ideal position for an engineer who enjoys both deep technical analysis and professional client interaction.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, (Business) Informatics, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in a technical role such as Project or System Engineer
  • Experience working with software products, electrification, or energy systems
  • Proven track record in simulation, system modeling, or data analysis using tools like MATLAB or Python
  • Experience in managing technical projects and coordinating milestones with international stakeholders
  • Experience in technical sales support, including creating offers and identifying upselling potential
