Job Summary

As an Electrical Engineer for Power Plant Technology at GlobalFoundries, you will serve as a subject matter expert for power generation and distribution at one of the world's leading semiconductor manufacturing sites in Dresden. Your day-to-day responsibilities include defining, overseeing, and coordinating engineering and construction activities for co-generation power plants. You will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure constant uptime of electrical systems, manage projects from scope development to close-out, and provide technical guidance to various facility departments. The role is highly collaborative, requiring coordination with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth commissioning and regulatory compliance. Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • Extensive experience in the engineering, installation, and operation of voltage systems (Low, Medium, and High)
  • Proven track record in commissioning and maintaining co-generation power plants
  • Professional experience managing brownfield projects within operational facilities
  • Demonstrated organizational experience coordinating with functional teams, contractors, and suppliers
