Job Summary

This role at the Institute of Nanotechnology (INT) involves managing and advancing the IT infrastructure for AI-supported semantic data processing of materials. You will be responsible for the research and development of AI workflows, ontology-based extensions for data portals, and the integration of material data spaces into federated ecosystems like Gaia-X and Catena-X. Day-to-day activities include operating data-intensive infrastructures, implementing metadata management solutions using tools like CKAN, and collaborating with international research partners. The position is unique for its focus on cutting-edge 'Materials Digital' initiatives and the opportunity to present findings at global conferences. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related field; a Doctorate (PhD) is ideally preferred.

Experience

  • Professional experience in operating data-intensive IT infrastructures
  • Proven experience with data and metadata platforms such as CKAN
  • Experience with container technologies and service-oriented architectures
  • Experience in developing and implementing update and sustainability concepts for IT systems
  • Experience in presenting research results at national and international conferences
  • Experience in training, onboarding, or technical coordination is preferred
