Job Summary
This role is situated within the Mayor's staff in the Economic Development team for the city of Barsinghausen. As a City Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing measures and events to increase the attractiveness and vitality of the city center. Your daily tasks will include managing funded projects from state, federal, and EU programs—overseeing everything from funding acquisition to final accounting. You will organize major local events like the Christmas Village, manage vacant commercial properties, and develop marketing campaigns across print and social media (Facebook, Instagram). A significant portion of the role involves networking with local stakeholders and business owners to foster a collaborative urban environment. Required Skills
Education
Degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Master) in Administrative Sciences, Economics, Marketing, Communication, Real Estate, or Geography; OR Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt); OR vocational training in Event Organization, Tourism, or Media Design.
Experience
- Professional experience in event management and project work
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience if applying with a vocational qualification
- Experience in tourism, communication, or public administration
- Experience in marketing and social media management
- Multi-year professional experience is preferred

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends. Must provide proof of qualifications and driver's license with application.
