Job Summary

As the Head of Electrical Engineering and Electronics at the Ilsenburg site, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the operational excellence of a global leader in rail vehicle technology. Your daily responsibilities include planning and overseeing maintenance, rationalization, and investment projects within the electrical domain. You will be responsible for personnel planning, coordinating external contractors, and ensuring that all technical work meets strict quality, environmental, and safety standards. A key part of the role involves developing maintenance strategies and managing spare parts inventory efficiently. This position is ideal for a proactive leader with a 'hands-on' mentality who can bridge the gap between technical execution and strategic planning. You will lead a team of specialists and ensure the continuous functionality of complex industrial systems, contributing directly to the safety and innovation of international rail transport.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering (Diplom-Ingenieur) or a comparable qualification; Master Craftsman (Meister) or Technician certification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering and electronics management
  • Extensive experience in PLC programming and automation technology
  • Experience in rail vehicle manufacturing is preferred
  • Professional experience in personnel planning and leadership
  • Experience in coordinating external service providers and contractors
  • Experience in maintenance strategy development and spare parts logistics

Additional

  • Switching authorization (Schaltberechtigung) for 30 KV electrical systems is advantageous. Position is based in Ilsenburg. Requires a hands-on mentality and adherence to legal and operational quality and environmental regulations.
