As the Head of Materials Technology, you will lead a critical department at a world-leading manufacturer of railway wheels and wheelsets. Your daily responsibilities involve managing an accredited materials laboratory and a workshop dedicated to metallurgical and destructive testing. You will lead a team of 25 employees, fostering innovation in material development to optimize microstructure and heat treatment processes in alignment with customer requirements. Acting as a key technical liaison, you will collaborate closely with Quality Management, Production, and Design departments, while also serving as a competent point of contact for customers and suppliers regarding technical inquiries and complaints.
