Job Summary

As an IT Architect at the DFG in Bonn, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic development of the organization's global IT architecture. Your daily responsibilities will involve coordinating diverse IT projects across both infrastructure and application environments, designing technical IT concepts, and implementing ITIL-based operational processes. You will also oversee IT procurement derived from architectural requirements and lead various IT project groups. This role is ideal for a professional with a broad technical background who enjoys bridging the gap between high-level planning and technical implementation. The position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract, flexible working hours with up to three days of remote work per week, and a competitive salary based on the TVöD public service pay scale (up to approximately €7,980 gross per month). Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in broad IT domains including server technologies, virtualization, and network engineering
  • Practical experience in application operations and IT security
  • Proven experience in planning and project management methodologies such as PMI or Prince2
  • Experience in developing and implementing ITIL-based processes within IT operations
