Job Summary

This part-time role (17.5 hours/week) is based within the Water Management and Road Construction Office for the District of Rotenburg (Wümme). As a Laboratory Analyst, you will work within a certified environmental and hygiene laboratory, performing independent wet chemical and physico-chemical analyses of water samples, including groundwater and pond water. Your daily responsibilities include planning and monitoring direct discharge supervision, maintaining laboratory equipment, and statistically processing analytical results. You will also participate in proficiency testing as part of quality management protocols. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological/Chemical/Environmental Technical Assistant (BTA/CTA/UTA) or as a Biology/Chemistry Laboratory Technician.

Experience

  • Professional experience in water analysis and process engineering is preferred
  • Experience in the application of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Experience in documenting technical results and information for team collaboration
  • Experience in performing and conducting proficiency tests within a quality management framework
