Job Summary

As a Process Engineer specializing in Clean Utilities, you will take responsibility for the safe and GMP-compliant operation of critical media systems at a leading Biologics CDMO in Heidelberg. Your daily activities involve ensuring high system availability for WFI, compressed air, and technical gases, while continuously optimizing technical supply systems in a strictly regulated environment. You will manage technical changes, oversee investment projects, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including SOPs. This role is unique for its part-time flexibility (20-30 hours per week) within a high-growth, multinational biotech company. You will act as a technical expert during qualifications, audits, and inspections, ensuring all operations meet FDA and BetrSichV standards. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the operation or planning of clean utility systems
  • Proven experience working within a GMP-regulated environment
  • Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation and SOPs
  • Experience with qualification processes (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) is preferred
  • Professional experience in technical project management and plant optimization
