Job Summary

This role is based at a leading Biologics Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) in Heidelberg, Germany, focusing on the operation of bioprocess equipment within GMP-regulated cleanrooms. The core responsibility is the purification and concentration of biotechnologically produced pharmaceutical active ingredients through Downstream Processing (DSP). Daily tasks involve advanced techniques such as filtration, chromatography, and TFF, alongside the meticulous operation and monitoring of production plants. A key component of the role is ensuring strict compliance by documenting all work steps according to GMP standards, performing sample analysis, and assisting with equipment qualification, calibration, and maintenance. Candidates must possess a relevant technical qualification (e.g., BTA, CTA, or B.Sc. in Biotechnology) and professional experience in a GMP-regulated environment. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Pharmaceutical Technician (Pharmakant), Laboratory Technician (Laborant), or B.Sc. in Biotechnology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment
  • Experience with chromatography or filtration systems (e.g., ÄKTA, TFF) (Desirable)
