Job Summary

As a PLC Programmer at DFT, a member of the KNAPP AG group, you will be responsible for programming and configuring complex processes for international sorting and sequencing systems. A central part of this role involves high global mobility, as you will spend at least 50% of your time performing on-site commissioning for customers across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Beyond technical implementation, you will manage project documentation, conduct training sessions for clients and service staff, and provide expert support for troubleshooting software issues and operational errors. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys traveling and wants to work with cutting-edge hanging conveyor technology and pocket sorter innovations. The role offers a secure long-term perspective within a collaborative team, supported by the attractive Metal and Electrical Industry collective agreement, featuring a 35-hour work week and flexible mobile working options.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or completed further training as a state-certified Technician.

Experience

  • Professional experience in PLC programming using Beckhoff TwinCAT
  • Experience in commissioning technical systems on-site at customer locations
  • Initial professional experience is desirable but not mandatory
  • Experience in creating project documentation and conducting technical training
