As an Embedded Systems Engineer at Brunel, you will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end development of sophisticated embedded systems across various industries. Your daily responsibilities include the conceptual design and implementation of both hardware components and software solutions, with a strong focus on C/C++ firmware development. You will be tasked with integrating hardware and software to ensure seamless system functionality while optimizing critical resources such as power consumption, memory, and processing speed. Additionally, you will plan and execute rigorous testing protocols to guarantee system stability and security. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the development of embedded software, preferably within the automotive sector
  • Proven experience in programming with C/C++ and working with real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Experience using development tools for versioning, debugging, and automated testing
  • Experience in software architecture modeling and system design using UML or SysML
