Job Summary

As an Embedded Software Developer at Brunel, you will play a pivotal role in developing system solutions for fleet data collection and analysis. Your daily responsibilities will include commissioning systems, developing and validating Over-the-Air (OTA) update concepts, and ensuring compliance with critical industry standards such as ISO 21434 and ISO 26262. You will act as a key technical consultant for hardware selection on both the vehicle and server sides, while also serving as a point of contact for defect management and vehicle service. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close coordination with component owners and support during software release rollouts. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience with Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in an automotive environment or general experience in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in function development or a related technical automotive field.
  • Proven experience in programming and handling databases.
  • Professional experience in interdisciplinary collaboration between mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.
