Job Summary
As an HSE Specialist, you will take full responsibility for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) operations at a growing pharmaceutical site. Your day-to-day activities involve ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal guidelines, while actively maintaining integrated management systems across ISO 9001, 14001, 50001, and 45001 standards. You will be a key figure in safety culture, conducting risk assessments, creating operating instructions, and organizing safety training for all staff. Additionally, you will manage external service providers, coordinate with authorities, and oversee internal and external audits. This role is particularly attractive as it offers the chance to help build a new European site for a global Canadian healthcare company, providing significant creative freedom, flat hierarchies, and 30 days of vacation in a collaborative, international environment.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Engineering, Environmental Technology, Safety Engineering, or a comparable qualification; alternatively, a technical vocational training with further qualification in Occupational Safety or HSE.
Experience
- Initial relevant professional experience in HSE, EHS, or HSEQ environments
- Professional experience in occupational safety and safety management
- Experience handling chemical and pharmaceutical substances is preferred
- Professional experience in planning and documenting HSE training and instruction measures
- Experience coordinating with authorities and external service providers
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to qualify as a Dangerous Goods Officer (Gefahrgutbeauftragter) if required. Position is full-time and permanent at a new site in Germany.
