Job Summary

This role involves working within the Geodata Management, Sensor Technology, and Digital Twin team for the City of Essen. As a key contributor to the 'adapTWIN' project, you will focus on accelerating urban planning processes by utilizing Digital Twins to address climate change adaptation, specifically regarding green and blue infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include integrating AI technologies to analyze urban climate risks, developing data models, and designing interface concepts. You will perform complex 2D and 3D geodata analyses and visualize these results through digital mapping applications. This position is particularly attractive due to its focus on cutting-edge climate technology, the stability of public service employment (TVöD/A 12), and flexible working arrangements including mobile work and flexitime. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Surveying, Geoinformatics, Geography, Environmental Sciences, or Spatial Planning.

Experience

  • Experience in applying AI technologies for urban or environmental analysis
  • Proven track record in visualizing geodata through digital applications
